*** We cannot guarantee timing of litters as their cycles change.  Typically, they come into heat every 6 months.  They can come a month early, a month late, or sometime have what is called a split heat.  If not currently bred, any timeline given is a rough estimates to the best of our knowledge and they frequently make a liar out of us.

***Due Dates once bred are estimates.  As with humans, due dates can vary and are out of our control.

Please Take Note.....

Info on Curl, Allergies & Size....

Curl: In doodles, the amount of wave vs curl can’t be promised, by any breeder. Their coats can change as they grow and then transition into their adult coat at about 10-11 months.

While, I’m pretty good at guessing which ones will be more wavy, I want to be sure you know that I can’t make any guarantees.  None of our puppies are “flat coated” (meaning flat faced).  Flat coated puppies shed much like a pure Newfoundland.  We make sure through genetics that none of our puppies are flatcoated.

Allergies: No doodle can be counted as hypoallergenic unless both parent breeds are hypoallergenic.  Newfoundlands are not hypoallergenic.  That said, the doodles with more poodle in them give those with allergies great hope of being able to live with them without issue.  Because allergies are due to so many differing factors, we cannot guarantee that your pup will keep you allergy free.  All of our puppies are F1b, F1bb, and F2b, all of which carry higher poodle genetics for those with allergies but still carry the loveable and laidback nature of the Newfoundland.

Size: Doodle sizes can be difficult to predict, especially when working with giant breeds.  In general the rule of thumb is that boys are larger than girls.  With each mamma, we give our best guess as to the size scale we expect.  That said, it’s not uncommon for our boys to hit the 100lb mark.  It is impossible for us to guide our puppy families as to which puppies may go larger than expected.

We choose our parent dogs for health and personality. Our goal is to produce dogs that could easily transition into a family home environment and/or service dog program, as Newfypoos naturally lean naturally into those environments.

Info on Deposit List & How you choose Your puppy

——————————————–
**We are located in Central Pennsylvania.
See info below about transportation options if you are unable to drive to pick up your puppy.
—————————————-

**HOW OUR DEPOSIT LIST WORKS – We hold ONE deposit list, not a separate list for each litter.

Reserve Your Choosing Spot: Your slot is reserved at the time of your deposit.  The wait list descriptions below are where people have noted they would like to be assigned, but lists are allowed to change.  Our goal is to place the correct puppy with the correct family.  We also understand that life-things can happen and you may need to postpone getting a puppy.  At 4 weeks old you solidify which litter you’re going to choose from or if you’re going to pass and wait for a future litter.

The Guarantee: When placing a deposit for an up and coming litter, we guarantee you a puppy within 2 years.  If we are unable to provide you with a puppy you are entitled to a full refund of the full deposit price.  We are typically able to provide a puppy to you within a much shorter time frame, however, pregnancy loss, pregnancy emergencies, and puppy deaths can occur and are out of our control.  In such cases, you would be offered another puppy from the same litter or from an upcoming litter.

*Please also note, we send several inquiry emails out daily.  The lists are as where they stand at the time of sending this but can change very quickly. You may ask us what the current slot open at any time.

**HOW YOU CHOOSE YOUR PUPPY – We hold an optional puppy snuggle day the Saturday following their 4 week mark.  Those with deposits and those on our free notification list are welcome to come.  After snuggle day we send a list of all puppies that are available for choosing (picture, description).  We start with those that have deposits and with slot #1 (the person that has been waiting the longest) and move down the list.  As puppies are chosen we delete them from the list.  If there is not a puppy that fits your preferences (color, sex, personality), you may pass on the current litter and wait until a future litter.  We allow you to pass on litters for two years.

Males and Females – It is common for our pup families to have in mind that they want either a female or male.  We do not keep separate lists for male/female because it is also common that as you see the pups born and grow that you may swap what you’re wanting and we want to give you that freedom to do so.  We have no control over how many males or females are born.  We have had 50/50 litters, we have had litters of all males and 1 female, and litters of all females and 1 male, and anything in between.  If the pups born do not suite your preferences when it comes time to choosing, you are then moved to the next available litter.  You have two years to choose from the pups offered to you.

Meet the Parents

Daisey

Daisey is an F1, 80lb Newfypoo who is loveable and easy going.  Her babies are gorgeous, cuddly and loveable.  She often passes her ticking (freckles) onto her babies, making each one very unique.

Glory and her puppies

Glory is an F1b, small Newfypoo at 40/45lb.  She is the best snuggler and she smiles!  She can throw babies of a variety of colors: blacks, browns, grays, reds, parti’s, merle’s and tri colors.

Loki

Loki is an F1b Newfypoo. is the most easy going dog there is.  Even with no specialized training, he is the most well behaved and loyal dog we have ever had.  He is Laurel’s shadow and produces amazing puppies.

Glory + Loki have F2bb puppies.  Daisey + Loki have F2b puppies.  Let’s take a moment to talk about genetics.
Question: Do we breed F1’s?  We do not breed any F1 puppies (that’s a Newf + a poodle).  We don’t do this for a few reasons: the pups can often have a saggy jaw leading them to have a slobbery mouth and their coats can be quite a wide variety of shaggy to poodle curl.  Their personalities can have the same wide variety as well.  We find that the second generation puppies are more cohesive in coat type across the whole litter, and so is their personality.  By breeding a Newfypoo to a Newfypoo, we’re locking in that Newfypoo personality that we love so much.

Question: What’s with the b?  The b means genetically there is probably more poodle than Newf.  That doesn’t mean it’s more poodle in personality.  By Loki carrying a b and having been genetically tested, we know he carries 2 curl genes and 2 furnished genes (shaggy face gene).  If he did not, then when paired with an F1 mamma, half of the litter could potentially be flat coated and shed like a normal Newf!  By ensuring we have the genes that we want with that b, we know every single pup will go home looking like a doodle!  By having that b or bb, our pups do very well in homes that have allergies.  The majority of our pups go home to families with allergies and they have all done very well with their puppies.

Question: What’s the difference?  Quite honestly, in personality – none.  Whether F1, F1b, F1bb, F2b, F2bb , we can’t tell the difference in the pups.  They are laid back, loving, curious, easy to train adorable puppies.  What we have noticed, is the majority of the litter is more that loose wave shag that people think about when considering an F1 lineage.  I don’t think you can go wrong with any generation of pup, but we especially are in love with the 2nd generations.

Price - $2600

Once a deposit is placed, you lock your price in regardless of any price increases.  If you delay more than a month in placing a deposit, please inquire about current prices.   We do not charge differently based on sex or color.

A frequently asked question is “when is the best time to place a deposit?

The answer is – when you solidify that we are the breeder for you.  The higher you are on the deposit list, the better the chance that you will have a puppy from the next litter.  Our free notification list does not always get notified of a litter born because they are frequently all spoken for by the time they are born.  If you feel we are right for you, fill out our application below.  Once approved an approval e-mail will be sent and the option to pay the deposit.

The deposit is discussed below.

Free Notification List & Paid Deposit List

When you fill out our application and are approved as a puppy family, you are on our free notification list.  You will be notified about any available puppies before we advertise to the public.  You may stay on the list for as long as you like and ask to be removed at any time.

To secure your puppy that has already been born, after your application approval email, you can then pay $1500, non refundable, and pay the remainder of the puppy fee at pickup.

To secure your puppy spot for the future, our deposit is $500, non refundable. You will be notified when there is a litter/puppy for you to consider.  When you place your deposit, we don’t make you choose which litter you are going to take a puppy from. You have two years of litters to choose from.  Should we be unable to provide you with a puppy within those two years, your deposit may be refunded in full at your request.  This deposit goes towards your final puppy price.

After approval, you will be sent an approval email that has a link to pay a deposit if you wish to move forward. A deposit claims your spot and you have two years to consider the puppies available and make sure it’s a good time for your family.

We allow the decline option for a few reasons, one because we know life throws curveballs. We want the pup to be welcomed into your home when you are best ready and not in the midst of stress.

Secondly, we know your heart might be set on specific preferences (color/sex/personality) and we aim to fill as many of those specifics as we can.

Our hope is that you choose us a a breeder because you align with our philosophy in rearing the pups and how we care for our puppy families, and that makes waiting for just the right pup 100% worth the wait.

Puppy Pickup & Shipping

Puppy Pickup is the Saturday closest their 8 week birthday.  We hold the event from 10-12, in open house style, with a litter-mate family photo with any families that wish to participate and a puppy-go-home lesson at 11.  If the weather is unsuitable, the puppy-go-home lesson is held online a few days in advance.  Pre-recorded lessons are available for anyone unable to attend.

We are located in Central PA.  You can fly in yourself or we have contact information for several flight-nannies and animal transport services that you can interview and hire.     We then work with the transporter that you hire for arranging pickup dates.  They need to fly as close to 8 weeks as possible due to their rapid growth and their airline size restrictions, unless it is a mini/small size pup which gives more leeway.  Green Acres Newfypoos does not offer transportation services at this time, but we have worked with fabulous transporters in the past.  If flying a puppy, it’s best to plan to get the puppy as close to 8 weeks as possible, as they grow at a very fast rate and can quickly become too large for a carrier that is airline approved.

When flying, the airline has a pet fee that is usually $125 pet fee.  After booking your ticket, you need to call to have your pup added to your ticket.  When you land, you can check in without your puppy and then meet me outside to get your puppy.  This makes it extremely helpful so you’re not held up at the check in desk.   You will need to follow your airlines pet crate size requirements.  We recommend soft sided.  We can help you choose the best crate.  We provide potty pads to be used, as your puppy should not touch the ground or use public dog areas to potty.

Airport:  Harrisburg Airport or State College Airport
We deliver the pups to the airport.  Dates and times of flights must be arranged with us prior to booking to ensure our availability.
We are 1.25 hrs from the Harrisburg Airport and about an hour from the State College Airport.  Harrisburg is usually cheaper, but not always.
